A chemical explosion at a cargo warehouse in Brazil has spread toxic gas over the Port of Santos, Brazil’s largest port.
Damage has been widespread with cargo handling operations halted and dock works suspended, as well as the closure of shipping channels.
The effects are being felt across the city with people evacuated from their homes, whilst others have taken to hospital for chemical burns and breathing difficulties.
We are liaising with our Associate in Santos, who is able to provide immediate claim assistance and a range of surveys including cargo, property and marine.
Concordia is able to provide Loss Adjusting services, with our response team ready to mobilise and assist with any post event claim support, claims review, cover holder or TPA assistance.
