Category 1 Hurricane Hermine Makes Landfall in Florida, USA

Hurricane Hermine is the first hurricane to hit Florida for 11 years making landfall in the early hours of Friday 2nd September.
The weather system brought winds of up to 80mph and high storm surges, creating a dangerous mix of conditions which has caused property damage, flooding and leaving 70,000 homes without power.
Local Governors have issued evacuations and flood alerts to various counties, with a state of emergency announced across many counties. The region is braced for further widespread damage and disruption.
