Graham Purdon attends The International Insurance Congress 2019 in Sri Lanka

Graham Purdon, Concordia’s Group Technical Director, was pleased to participate in The International Insurance Congress 2019 organised by the Sri Lanka Insurance Institute. The theme of the conference was “Challenges to Insurers in an Ever Evolving World”, with Graham joining a panel discussion on the subject of the “Readiness of the sector to ward-off effects of Natural and Manmade Disasters”.
The well-attended event took place at the beautiful Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo, which looked magnificent for the occasion, a stark comparison to the last time Graham was in the Hotel – just 48 hours after the tragic bombing at the location on the morning of Easter Sunday.
The conference was well attended by all sectors of the insurance community, and began with a lavish ceremonial opening and cocktail party on the evening of 16th Oct, followed by a full day of interesting presentations.
Our involvement in the event served to increase the profile of Concordia Consultancy South Asia, our company in Colombo providing services to the local market and beyond.
