Half a million people affected by severe floods in Sri Lanka

Severe flooding caused by monsoon rains across southwestern areas of Sri Lanka has affected almost half a million people resulting in displacement of 112,000 and hundreds of deaths. Houses and businesses remain submerged in up to nine metres of water, with hundreds of people still missing.
Concordia’s Sri Lankan office, located in Colombo, is actively monitoring local conditions and providing claims assistance to Insurers, Reinsurers and Brokers.
