India introduces adjusting course

The Insurance Institute of India has published a new book called “Principles and Practice of Insurance and Survey and Loss Assessment” based on the syllabus prescribed by the Insurance regulatory and development Authority for the licensing of Surveyors and Loss Adjusters in India.
During a recent meeting Mr S Gidwani, the Secretary General of The Insurance Institute of India presented a copy of the book to past president, Paul May for the Institute book collection. Mr Gidwani said that he was particularly pleased to present the book to CILA who had in the past donated copies of its text books to his institute.
A review of the book will appear in a future edition of Claims Professional.
